No. 6 The Epicenter, home of the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes of the Class A California League - MLN Top 10 (Ten) Ballparks 2005

The Epicenter
Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

The Epicenter enters MLN's Top Ballparks at No. 6 because this California League ballpark has it all:  a stunning view of mountains; comfortable seats with great sight-lines; an incredibly fun dinosaur mascot and one of the cutest names in baseball.

The name “Epicenter” is not only a riff on the team’s name, the Quakes, it also signifies that it’s the center for good times in the booming Rancho Cucamonga area.

The park is now the top dog in a California League that has some great ballparks.

Broadcaster Doug Greenwald, who knows the Pacific Coast League and Cal League quite well because he’s done play by

play in both, singles out the Epicenter when describing the Minors’ best parks.

“Rancho’s ballpark is the cleanest I’ve seen, and the view of the San Gabriel Mountains is gorgeous.  I always enjoyed broadcasting games there because the crowds are great and Tremor the mascot really entertains the fans.”

The fans have responded, as the Quakes topped the Cal League in attendance in 2004, beating the second place Lake Elsinore Storm, whose lakeside stadium has appeared in past MLN Top Ten Ballparks, by about 50,000.
