Best attribute: The book contains nice action photos, good shots of the stadium and fans, several neat box scores from key games and a host of team and individual statistics.
Worst attribute: It contains no interviews with players, coaches, team officials or fans, thus it lacks much of the atmosphere surrounding the franchise and minor league baseball in Maine.

One of Minor League Baseball’s most remote outposts has been the gateway for great careers. Charles Johnson, Edgar Renteria, Livan Hernandez, Mark Kotsay, Brad Penny, Luis Castillo, Josh Beckett, Antonio Alfonseca, A.J. Burnett, Kevin Youkilis, Kevin Millar, Dustin Pedroia, Jacoby Ellsbury, Jonathan Papelbon, Jon Lester Brandon Moss, and Hanley Ramirez, to name a few, have defined their careers in Portland, Maine.
